I first saw a mix like this being used in my mocha at a hole in the wall Italian restaurant that has since closed. This simple mixture will work well for a homemade hot cocoa also. The amount of cocoa you use in your mocha or hot cocoa is up to your individual preference, but I use about 1 tablespoon of the cocoa mixture in my mochas and about 2 tablespoons in my hot cocoa. Consider serving your mocha or hot cocoa with some homemade whipped cream. Here is the link to my whipped cream recipe:
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Sift together the sugar, cocoa and salt in a bowl. Store in an airtight container.
